[Date->asInteger] returns the number of seconds from 1/1/1970 to the date/time object as an integer.

To return the number of seconds from 1/1/1970 to a date as an integer:
Use the [Date->asInteger] method. The following example returns the number of seconds from 1/1/1970 to 2011-02-21 as an integer.
